Lisa A. Tomlinson is an 8th generation Wilson Countian and was raised outside of Lebanon on a working tobacco and cattle farm. She was educated in the Wilson County School System, and graduated cum laude from Cumberland University in 2000 with a BA in Criminal Justice and Public Administration and a minor in Psychology. She graduated from the Nashville School of Law in 2005.
While in law school, Tomlinson served a clerkship with former United States Attorney Hal Hardin and worked as a reporter for The Wilson Post. After receiving her law degree, she entered into private practice in Wilson County, associating with Vance Law Office in Watertown, Tenn., in 2007, and with MacPherson & Youmans in 2011.
Tomlinson is a past president of the 15th Judicial District Bar Association and served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the 15th Judicial District Child Advocacy Center. She has also served on numerous other boards in service of her community.
Tomlinson resides on her family farm in Wilson County. She is a lifelong member of St. Francis Cabrini Church in Lebanon and enjoys traveling, cooking, and sharing time with family and friends.
