Carl Hudson is a native of Smith County, Tennessee who attended Castle Heights Military Academy from 1984 -1986 and graduated from McCallie School of Chattanooga in 1989. He graduated with a double major in Finance and Real Estate from Southern Methodist University in 1993.

Carl managed and grew a family company which centralized its focus in Construction Supply Sales for 30 years. Cumberland Supply Co. is based in Carthage, Tennessee, specializing in everything from Ready Mix supply to a full lumber yard, block, brick, hardware for residential and commercial customers.

Carl has been an active pilot based out of the Lebanon Municipal Airport for 26 years. His current activities include pursuing a flying career and holding multiple Certified Flying Instructor Ratings. He is heavily involved in service work assisting others in the recovery stages of addictions. Carl works in coordination with Cumberland Heights on patients with their transition into sober living and a new sober lifestyle. Carl is also able to assist women in their needs by serving in his capacity as a board member on the board of Our Sisters Keepers.
